CVH Alpha 1.0


Welcome to the first Devlog of Creepsville Hotel.

CVH (CreepsVille Hotel) Alpha version 1.0 launched on 26/1/21

I was actually very nervous about releasing the first alpha, I was not sure that it was something worth releasing, but hearing so much important feedback was invaluable to me, thank you all. The thing that most got me thinking was that very few people is actually being able to finish it, I might need to tone down the difficulty a bit, or it might be that the game is not clear enough yet.

Features:

  • Main menu
  • Tutorial
  • Demo Level
  • Pause Menu
  • 2 challenges consisting in two parts a puzzle and a spirit cleanse
  • Final spirit cleanse
  • Basic UI,  animations and sounds
  • WASD movement, Basic Flashlight, and Dash

Known Bugs to be fixed:

  • Depending on timing the spawn animation of the Slime spirit will appear and stay on
  • There is not a menu panel in the tutorial scene, so using the menu button will enter the pause routinewithout any way to deactivate
